Artist Statement

I studied sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art working in a variety of materials and techniques. After graduating I worked for various artists such as Sir Anthony Caro making sculpture for galleries and scenic art companies designing and producing high quality work for film, television, theatre etc.

In 1997 I returned to Wales and focused on my sculpture. Public art commissions are now my main body of work. As well as the sculptures I design and make pieces of furniture and craft. These I approach from a sculptural perspective. Using different types of metal, often incorporating different types of elements such as glass, stone and wood.

Many of my inspirations come from nature and the landscape within which I live. My Celtic roots have a heavy influence on me as well as the material itself.
